The Cambridge route shown here has 4 externally marked papers. Exams are sat in person at a suitable registered exam centre. The family arranges registration and pays the centre; paid assistance from Inventum is available separately.
Reading. Candidates answer two compulsory questions: Question 1 in Section A, and Question 2 in Section B. Externally assessed
Writing. Candidates answer two questions: one compulsory question from Section A, and one question from a choice of three in Section B. Externally assessed
Language Analysis. Candidates answer two compulsory questions: Question 1 in Section A, and Question 2 in Section B. Externally assessed
Language Topics. Candidates answer two compulsory questions each on a separate topic area: Question 1 in Section A, and Question 2 in Section B. Externally assessed
Journeys 2 and 3 include ten one-to-one lessons with a specialist teacher for every enrolled English Language subject. Additional sessions can be purchased separately.
Journey 2 includes recordings of the precision-teaching lessons. Journey 3 includes those lessons live twice each week for every enrolled subject.

Yes. You can take English Language as a single subject alongside another school, or as part of a full-time A-Level programme with Inventum. Many families start with one subject and add more later.
English Language is assessed through 4 externally marked papers: Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 2, Paper 2. Full details are in the assessment section above.
Written exams are taken in person at a suitable registered exam centre. Your family is responsible for finding the centre, registering by its deadline, and paying its fees. Inventum offers a separate paid add-on to help find and communicate with a centre; the centre's own fee is not included.
A-Level English Language is recognised internationally and supports progression to university applications worldwide.
